Recently, new technology systems and items pour out frequently than before. According to shows new technology, a sport is no exception to using and trying new technology in sport competition and event. The sports are gradually changing for several years in various areas which using new technology is just part of development and also it is used to many sports. There is using lot of technology in sports events, particularly this post argues about Hawk Eye Technology. Hawk- Eye Technology focus on assist referee’s decision and makes justice. This technology in sports can change and improve the games. On the other hands, some people worries about technology make uninteresting and unexciting of the games because it control the game instead of referee. In my opinion, these days many kinds of sports enforced the technology particularly ball-sports, which Hawk-Eye technology assist referee in the game. Someone said that technology should prohibit in sports event however, it used to in a lot of sports game, and also it is going to evitable stuff in the future. This post will represent about using Hawk-Eye Technology in sports and argues about essential or dispensable of Hawk-Eye Technology in soccer with my view point (bell, 2012). There are nowadays examples of using Hawk- Eye technology in sport games such as tennis, basketball, cricket, Aussie rule football, rugby, and soccer. First, tennis begins to using a line review system in major competition, and it was first used in US Open in 2006. Sometimes player gesture using their hands, it means ‘challenge’. It can change score or make void if challenge is appropriate argument. It referee accept ‘challenge’, the monitor indicates replay situation. However, it can be make uninteresting and slower than before, so player can use just three-times per sets (Jennings, Joshua, 2010). In addition also Basketball uses videos decipher that called ‘last touch’ judgments in each quarter final two minutes of games and use replay video to make sure players are shooting within the time allow by the shot clock. Cricket first used Hawk eye in 2001 for assist referee decisions. It gives exactly judgments such as from each camera, group of pixels corresponding to the image of the ball, compute for each frame the 3-D position of an image thus identified using ball image data from at least 2 different cams, map the predicted flight-path on the modeled area so as to identify any interaction with 1 or more of the said characteristic features leading to any key event or infringement of any rule, and predict the ball flight-path from the said 3-D ball position as computed in successive frames. In Aussie rules football, Rugby league and baseball also using video technology systems for justice and assist referee (Baljinder, S. B., & Gaurav, D, 2012). Recently, Soccer impose new technology which Goal line systems. EPL begin to enforced goal line system and also going to uses FIFA World Cup at 2014 in Brazil. This goal line system assists the referee’s judgment, it determines the ball has completely crossed the goal line or not and it sends information for referee immediately (Andrew, L, 2012). Likewise, Hawk- Eye widely used in lots of sports, there is specific example of technology in soccer that was hold to a policy that any technology prohibited in Soccer games. FIFA and UEFA were negative sides to adopt technology in Soccer for a long time, but recently EPL and 2014 FIFA World Cup are going to use goal line technology in game (Sandiran, S, 2013). Besides, there is pro and cons about using Hawk-Eye Technology in Soccer and argues with my view point. First of all, there are positive sides of using Hawk-Eye Technology in Soccer with my view point. There are four referees in the soccer game however, their mistakes can occur anytime while the game (World Soccer, 2008). Although most of decision is corrected, but human error is higher than computer error. Only three referees should catch fast moving situation in time. If Goal line technology install on the pitch, it can gives accurate information to referee immediately, no need to stop during the game. Otherwise, this technology assist reduce errors in the game and helps referee’s correct judgment as well. On the other hands, Hawk-Eye Technology has negative side to installing in soccer. Some of soccer leagues are opposite side to install Hwak- Eye Technology, for example both Bundesliga and La Liga claimed that they have not plan to introduce the Hawk-Eye technology until at least 2015. To using Hawk- Eye in the game, it should install six cameras on each side of the goal and nearby goal line, it has costs problem and should prepare for all soccer stadium around the globe. Furthermore, Hawk- Eye technology requires that the ball should visible at least 25%, and spectator should rely on the only referee’s judgment (Radnedge, Keir 2012). To summaries both sides, this technology is not easily to widely using rapidly, but modern soccer need to technology particularly Goal line technology. There are example of why should adopt goal line technology. Before 2010 FIFA World Cup, there was game between Germany and England, first half Lampard scored the first goal which had clearly crossed the line by a few distance but this goal was disallowed (Daily mail, 2010). This goal is most important goal for England, finally they lose against Germany. This game would have been different situation if goal line technology used in the game. Not only between Germany and England game, there was regarded as not valid goal in most of soccer match. In my view point, Goal Line Technology is one of the good stuff to assist referee also helpful to process match smoothly. Before some of games struggles wrong decision because Soccer did not adopt this technology yet. (Lennon, 2013) This technology can decipher result that has goal or ghost goal, so that spectator feels more interest because of exactly review immediately on the screen. Otherwise, this technology is inevitable in the future so now is the right time to install Goal line technology. Although I agree with installing Hawk-Eye Technology in soccer, I disagree to install excessive technology in the soccer.
